Save Nature, Save Biodiversity !

Prof Madhav Gadgil wrote :

The Western Ghats are naturally an important focus of sustainable development efforts. The protector of the Indian peninsula, the mother of the Godavari, Krishna, Netravathi, Kaveri, Kunthi, Vaigai and a myriad other rivers, Kalidasa likens the Western Ghats to a charming maiden; Agastyamalai is her head, Annamalai and Nilgiri the breasts, her hips the broad ranges of Kanara and Goa, her legs the northern Sahyadris. Once the lady was adorned by a sari of rich green hues; today her mantle lies in shreds and tatters. It has been torn asunder by the greed of the elite and gnawed at by the poor, striving to eke out a subsistence. This is a great tragedy, for this hill range is the backbone of the ecology and economy of south India.

Pls implement the Gadgil Report. Save Nature, Conserve Biodiversity !

Happy Narasimha Jayanti

How glorious Thy nails
Which tore into the Ego
The Ego which exists in all
Whose emblem is Hiranyakasipu
O Lord of the Universe
O Thou with bountiful hair
Thou shook the Universe with Thy Form
Hail O Lord of all that is !

Thava kala kamala varai
Nakham abthutha sringam
Dhalitha Hiranyakasipu thanu bhringam
Kesava ! Dhrutha ! Nara Hari Roopa
Jaya Jagadisha Hare !

The Dialectics of Providence Theory and Chance Theory

Diogenes attributed the world to Chance. But theists differ from this and believe in the Providence Theory !

Dialectical Theory here comes and rescues us. One is the Thesis and the other the Anti Thesis !

Then what about Synthesis ?

Atheists believe in the Chance Theory
Theists believe in the Providence Theory.

Let us examine Mentalism, the doctrine which postulates that all this is Mind ! Isnt Vedanta Mentalism ? So again Vedanta Saastra comes as the integrator, that which integrates Chance Theory and Providence Theory !

Realty and Unreality both are Mind. All this is Mind, Maya matram idam dvaitham !

Regarding the controversial book, The Hindus, An Alternative History by Wendy Doniger

The Exoteric and the Esoteric are different. Those who study the Exoteric miss the Wisdom of the Esoteric. Just giving a superficial opinion that religious traditions are mere amalgamations of many practices exposes the author's ignorance of Esoteric Wisdom ! She has not understood what Henry David Thoreau said " The English sense has toiled, but Hindu Wisdom never perspires " or what Annie Besant said " After a study of 40 years, of all the great religions of the world, I find none so scientific, none so philosophic, none so systematic as the great Religion we know by the name of Hinduism" !

Physicalists and literalists cannot understand the Eternal Law, the Santan Dharma ! Neither the Esoteric nor the Exoteric !
